Our Story

In 1999, Curtis Cloke was a financial professional looking for the best products and solutions for his clients. One day, he entered incorrect information when seeking a quote for an income annuity, inadvertently discovering the availability of deferred income annuities (DIAs) for his clients.

Immediately recognizing the power of DIAs for guaranteeing retirement income, he began building the Thrive® system. With the help of his partners (and even some clients), Curtis perfected the Thrive® system in a quest to provide the maximum guaranteed income to his clients for the minimum assets.

Curtis refined his approach, developing effective techniques to communicate his ideas to others. In so doing, he cracked the code for how to successfully position income annuities and longevity insurance to clients.

Curtis eventually met and partnered with Garth Bernard, an actuary and an expert in the field of retirement income solutions, to review and confirm the power of Thrive® methodologies. Garth and Curtis have created a powerful team of actuary and advisor, innovating together on the front lines with unparalleled expertise from two different worlds unlike any other. As Thrive® began to gain momentum, they enlisted the help of Leslie Prescott and Spencer Dillard as Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Technology Officer, respectively.

Because of the power of Thrive® to deliver retirement distribution solutions, Curtis has achieved the highest levels of sales success: he is a qualifying member of Top of the Table with the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), and was a top 5 finalist for 2009 Senior Market Advisor of the Year.
